The operating position

Why the institution stays in control.

India's temples are among the oldest continuously-run institutions on earth. They feed people, employ priests and artisans, keep languages and rituals alive, and hold the trust of millions of devotees. And yet, when it came to software, they were being handed a raw deal — asked to give up a cut of their offerings and the relationship with their own devotees, just to have a booking page.

We didn't think that was right. So we set out to build the opposite: a platform where the temple is the customer, not the supply. Where it keeps 100% of its offerings, its devotees, its brand, and its data — with a commercial model based on software access and reach, never a percentage of temple offerings.

The goal is straightforward: give a temple with three staff access to the same class of operational software as an institution with three hundred, without taking ownership of its devotees, identity or offerings.

We can attempt this because we're not starting from zero. BookMyMandir is built by the team behind xalen.io and vedika.io — a faith-technology and engineering estate now being turned toward temple institutions. The public tool catalog separates source-complete, customer-beta, foundation-only and not-built work, with authenticated production proof currently covering 21 of 100 tools. The direction is ambitious; the evidence stays visible.

BookMyMandir is a product of XALEN Technology Private Limited.
